It was a busy weekend for gymnasts in Stoke-On-Trent on 8 - 9 June at Round 1 of the Group League. Team Bath Blue performed their 5 Balls routine followed by 3 Hoops 4 Clubs, placing 5th overall in the Senior League and scoring a personal best in Hoops and Clubs.
Meanwhile, in the Junior Elite League, the Junior Performance Group scored personal bests in both Ribbon and Hoop routines and placed 3rd overall, only 0.1 away from the winning score from Ribby Hall. Having missed the Seeding Competition, Junior Performance were also competing to gain qualification to the Elite League. We are delighted that they achieved this and will be joining Senior Gold at the Rhythmic British Championships which takes place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool in July.
Some of our individual gymnasts competed in the National Grades Finals which ran alongside the Groups competition in Stoke. In Grade 10 (aged 15 upwards) Sarah Dennis placed 15th overall competing in Hoop, Ball and Ribbon. Grade 9 gymnasts (aged 13 - 14) competed in Clubs, Ribbon and Ball with the following placings: Elisa Robinson 7th, Kashvi Cox 9th, Elisabeth Lyndon 14th. Elisa also placed 5th in Ribbon and 6th in Clubs.
100 individual gymnasts and over 170 group gymnasts took part in the combined event.
