Bath Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Win 8 Medals & 5 Top Placings at the National Sandymoor Cup Comp

City of Bath Rhythmic Gymnastics Club (RGC) is celebrating a great start to the year with a fantastic run of medals by the individual City of Bath Rhythmic Gymnastics girls at the Sandymoor Cup Competition last weekend.


An extremely competitive group with six teams from the UK including Finesse, Stockport, Ribby Hall, Trafford, Deeside, Bath and a team all the way from Latvia.


The eight talented gymnasts from the City of Bath RGC came away with 8 medals and 5 six top placings, including 2 golds for Amelia (Senior Level 3) in hoop and clubs and a gold for Sophie in hoop, who also won bronze in ribbon (Senior Level 4 / 5).


Lola gained two silvers for ball and ribbon in the Under-12 Level 3 Competition.


In the Junior Level 3 competition, Elle won bronze for ribbon and was placed in 7th for clubs with Rosa in 6th place for clubs and 7th for ball. Meanwhile, in the Junior Level 4 / 5 competition, Elena won silver for ribbon and placed 4th for clubs, with Rosie in 4th place for ball and 7th for clubs alongside Kashvi who placed 4th for ribbon and 6th for ball.


Competition levels range from 1 to 5, with 5 denoting Elite level.


The girls, aged between 11 and 16, travelled to Runcorn near Warrington for competing against over 70 other rhythmic gymnasts.


A fantastic result for the first competition of 2018, suggesting the City of Bath RGC looks set for a very successful year ahead.
